2025 Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year celebration, also known as the Spring Festival (春节, Chūnjié), is the most important traditional holiday in Chinese culture. Key traditions include:
- Family reunions and a special New Year’s Eve dinner
- Decorating homes with red lanterns and spring couplets
- Giving red envelopes filled with money to children
- Setting off fireworks to ward off evil spirits
- Performing lion and dragon dances
- Cleaning the house thoroughly before the new year to sweep away bad luck


The Chinese Zodiac
The Chinese zodiac (生肖, shēngxiào) consists of a 12-year cycle, with each year represented by a specific animal.
The 12 Zodiac Animals in Order:

Be the Light Association celebrated the 2025 Chinese New Year through meaningful partnerships with local schools and community organizations.
